Steps to reproduce

Description This dataset contains annual data for 284 prefecture-level cities in China from 2004 to 2022, including total energy consumption, employment, fixed capital stock, total CO₂ emissions, real GDP (at 2004 constant prices), unit energy cost, and average wages. The dataset can be used for research related to carbon-factor-biased technological progress, regional energy efficiency, and emission reduction potential. Data Sources The data are compiled from the China City Statistical Yearbook, Energy Statistical Yearbook, and Environmental Statistical Reports.
