Description

Sonication of stainless steel wire as a tool for microbiological diagnosis of diabetic foot infection - we hypothesized that biofilm production occurs on stainless steel when incubated with tissue specimen in a thioglycolate broth media (TBM), and further sonication could disrupt the biofilm, enhancing the sensitivity of microbiological diagnosis of diabetic foot infections.
