Description

This dataset contains nucleotide sequences of one nuclear DNA barcode region (ITS) and four chloroplast DNA (cpDNA) barcode regions (rbcL, rpoC1, trnL and trnH-psbA) generated from Ludwigia octovalvis collected in Tam Dao Commune, Phu Tho Province, Vietnam. The ITS region sequence (18S ribosomal RNA gene, partial sequence; internal transcribed spacer 1, 5.8S ribosomal RNA gene, internal transcribed spacer 2, complete sequence; and 28S ribosomal RNA gene, partial sequence) is 834 bp in length. The rbcL region is 670 bp in length, the rpoC1 region is 467 bp, the trnL gene (partial trnL gene and trnL intergenic spacer) is 853 bp, and the trnH-psbA gene (partial trnH gene and partial psbA coding sequence) is 517 bp in length. These sequence data provide reference DNA barcodes for molecular identification, DNA barcoding and phylogenetic analyses of Ludwigia octovalvis, and may be reused in comparative and evolutionary studies of the genus Ludwigia.
