Bibliometric Dataset of Lonicera japonica Research (2002–2025)
Description
This dataset contains the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) bibliographic records used for the bibliometric analysis of Lonicera japonica research published during 2002–2025. The dataset comprises 771 publications retrieved using a predefined Topic (TS) search strategy and subsequently screened according to the eligibility criteria described in the associated manuscript. The records were analyzed using CiteSpace 6.4 R1 and VOSviewer 1.6.21 to examine publication trends, countries/regions, institutions, authors, references, keywords, and other bibliometric characteristics. The dataset is provided together with the search strategy and documentation to facilitate transparency and reproducibility of the study.

Steps to reproduce
The dataset can be reproduced by following the search and screening procedures described in the associated manuscript. Literature records were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) on August 18, 2026, using the specified Topic (TS) search strategy for Lonicera japonica and related names. The search period was limited to 2002–2025, and publications in English were included. After screening and eligibility assessment, 771 publications were retained for bibliometric analysis. The same dataset was analyzed using CiteSpace 6.4 R1 and VOSviewer 1.6.21 with a one-year time slice.
