Description

In this study, we polarized BMNCs into BMNCs-Mφ and performed RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) on 12 biological replicates (three in each subgroup: BALB/c-BMNCs, BALB/c-BMNCs-Mφ, C57BL/6J-BMNCs, and C57BL/6J- BMNCs-Mφ). This experimental setup, which included two genetically distinct mouse strains, allowed us to assess how genetic background influences responses to the same external stimuli and to characterize the transcriptional changes associated with our macrophage polarization protocol. The resulting dataset thus provides a basis for analyzing strain-specific features of BMNCs and BMNCs-Mφ between C57BL/6J and BALB/c mice, and can also be used for direct comparison of the transcriptomic profiles of progenitor cells and their differentiated derivatives under combined stimulation with M-CSF and IL-4.
