Lead isotopic measurements of Las Conchas peat bog (Asturias, NW Spain) using MC-ICP-MS. Samples were extracted from a 315 cm peat bog core, and sliced in 2-cm sections. A total of 71 of these slices were employed for sample mineralization, Pb isolation and subsequent lead isotopic characterisation. The results provide detailed Pb isotopic characterization of the peat bog, which allowed to track past pollutions events back to the Copper Age and Bronze Age, when the first lead anthropogenic emissions started.
