Description

Triterpenoids are recognized as the main medicinal active substances in loquat, a plant that serves both medicinal and culinary purposes, with the synthesis of these compounds being critically dependent on the key enzyme OSC. The identification of 15 OSC proteins from the loquat genome was achieved in this study to further reveal the molecular functions of the loquat protein family. 15 CDS sequences of EjOSC genes were discovered, providing research genes for exploring the important role of the OSC gene family in the synthesis of triterpenoids.
