The data set contains the raw data of the free decay after harmonic excitation of beam-shaped specimens clamped on one side. Type A is a test specimen with through-holes along the longest dimension of the specimen; Type B is as type A without holes; Type C is a test specimen like Type A but with dry carbon fibers in the cavities. The test was carried out in accordance with the DIN 6721-3 standard.
Files
Steps to reproduce
Single-sided fixed clamping of the specimen; electromagnetic harmonic excitation at the free end at the first natural frequency; switching off the excitation; recording the vibration velocity at the free end using a laser vibrometer
