Description
This dataset supports the article titled “Data-Based Assessment of Poor Resource Management and Building Project Execution: Evidence from Kabul City.” The study examined the factors causing poor resource management and their impacts on the execution stage of building projects in Kabul City, Afghanistan. The dataset includes anonymized questionnaire data collected from 330 construction professionals, including site engineers, contractors, project managers, consultants, government project officers, and other related professionals. The questionnaire measured labor factors, material factors, equipment factors, financial factors, planning and scheduling factors, coordination and control factors, poor resource management, and impacts on the execution stage of building projects. The data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. The dataset also includes related Excel files for data analysis, graphs, and charts. The data can be used for academic verification, replication, and further research on construction resource management, project execution, and construction project performance in developing-country contexts. No personal identifying information of respondents is included in the dataset.

Steps to reproduce
The dataset was collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to construction professionals in Kabul City, including site engineers, contractors, project managers, consultants, government project officers, and other related professionals. A total of 330 valid responses were included. The data were coded and analyzed using SPSS and AMOS. Descriptive statistics, reliability analysis using Cronbach’s Alpha, and structural analysis were applied to examine the factors affecting poor resource management and their impacts on the execution stage of building projects.
