Multinational enterprise networks and regional resilience to financial shocks

Description

This repository contains the replication package for "Multinational enterprise networks and regional resilience to financial shocks" (Bettarelli, Calogero, Mazzola, Pizzuto, and Resmini), providing two datasets — a NUTS-2 region × year panel (macro.dta) and a NUTS-2 region × sector × year panel (sector.dta) — together with a Stata do-file that reproduces every figure and table in the paper's main text and appendix, and a second do-file that constructs the outward multinational-enterprise ownership-network variables from the underlying proprietary Orbis microdata; because Orbis data cannot be redistributed, these network variables are excluded from the datasets provided here, but the code to construct them in full is included for researchers with their own Orbis access.
