Dataset for dimensions of bloodstains on fabrics formed by dropping blood from heights-1 foot and 2 feet
Description
This dataset shows the average length and breadth of drip pattern bloodstains on pairs of ten types of fabric samples [Nylon, 2x2 Cotton, Terricot, Spun, Mal, Cora, Netted material (with design), Cotton (Lining material), Polyester and Velvet] measured before and after exposing the fabrics to five different temperature conditions [95°C, 80°C, 0°C, 10°C and room temperature]. Blood was dropped from two heights-30 cms (1 foot) and 60 cms (2 feet). The length and breadth of the bloodstain formed on each sample was measured both in the initial condition, that is soon after dropping the blood on the pair of samples, and in the final condition, that is after exposure of the samples to the respective temperature condition for one hour. The average of the dimensions of the bloodstains on each pair of samples was calculated.
