Description

Caregivers of 348 individuals with serious mental illness participated in the study. Exploratory factor analysis produced a 20-item scale defined by three factors. A significant relationship was found between Scale of Caregiver Self-efficacy in Serious Mental Illness scores and General Self-Efficacy Scale scores. Reliability coefficients values are adequate. The Scale of Caregiver Self-efficacy in Serious Mental Illness is valid and reliable in measuring caregiver self-efficacy to contribute to the care of individuals with mental disorders.
