This dataset contains experimental data collected to investigate the effects of background color and task difficulty on pilot performance and cognitive workload in an aviation simulation environment. The dataset includes participant demographic information, performance metrics from the USAARL Multi-Attribute Task Battery (MATB), eye-tracking measures (pupil diameter and fixation duration), and subjective workload assessments using NASA-TLX and Instantaneous Self-Assessment (ISA). The files comprise raw data collection records, processed eye-tracking data, and statistical analyses used to evaluate the relationship between color conditions, cognitive workload, and performance outcomes in aviation systems design.
