Description

This repository contains the sclerochronological stable isotope dataset and rendered R Markdown analysis report associated with the study “Seasonal variability during the Gelasian–Calabrian transition recorded by sclerochronological stable isotopes in lacustrine gastropods (Kos, Greece, Eastern Mediterranean)”. The dataset comprises high-resolution intra-shell δ¹⁸O and δ¹³C measurements from 21 Viviparus gastropod shells collected from six stratigraphically successive lacustrine units of the Early Pleistocene Kos palaeolake succession (Greece). A total of 2,271 microsamples were analysed to reconstruct seasonal hydroclimatic variability across the Gelasian–Calabrian transition. The rendered HTML report documents the R-based data processing, statistical analyses, and visualization workflow, including calculations of robust intra-annual δ¹⁸O ranges, isotope variability metrics, δ¹⁸O–δ¹³C relationships, etc. and the generation of figures presented in the manuscript and supplementary material.
