Supporting data for ball-milled TiO2/g-C3N4 aqueous surface treatment of cement mortar
Description
This dataset supports the manuscript "Ball-milled TiO2/g-C3N4 for aqueous surface treatment of cement mortar". It contains source and processed data for powder screening, X-ray diffraction, diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy, selected TEM/SEM/EDS observations, aqueous-coating methylene-blue removal, surface-stain fading, repeated use, water flushing, and abrasion. The figure-to-data map links each manuscript figure to its evidence. Powder-screening curves represent one reaction per condition; H, I and J are technical readings of the same supernatant. Initial coating endpoints and durability removal tests use three independent mortar specimens per stated condition, while reuse follows the same specimens across cycles. The deposited microscopy files retain source instrument pixels and metadata. For the 129 surface photographs, GPS, device and related private EXIF/IPTC/comment metadata were removed losslessly before deposit, with decoded pixel arrays verified identical to the local source images. The archive documents display smoothing and other transformations and distinguishes raw exports, processed tables, technical readings, repeated observations and independent specimens. No experimental data or primary research images were generated or reconstructed by generative AI. The README records unavailable items, including the original static-image ROI program, numeric raw EDS files, and a P25 XRDML file.

Steps to reproduce
See README.txt and 04_documentation_and_validation.zip for the complete folder map, figure-to-data map, data-provenance notes, processing records and validation outputs. Extract the numbered ZIP archives while preserving their internal directory structures. Raw and processed tables are separated and labelled. Use the figure-to-data map to identify the source files for each manuscript figure. Powder-screening H-I-J values are technical spectrophotometer readings of one supernatant; coating and durability endpoints use three independent mortar specimens unless otherwise stated; reuse measurements follow the same specimens across cycles.
