Argentina 2026 World Cup YouTube Post-Match Text Dataset
Description
This dataset supports a study of media framing and audience reception in YouTube sports broadcast discourse, covering all eight of Argentina's matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup (group stage through the final). It comprises identifiers and metadata for 80 post-match analysis and panel-discussion videos drawn from 24 English-language channels, spanning broadcast news, sports broadcaster panels, tabloid/opinion shows, international outlets, and aggregator channels. For each video, the dataset provides: match and channel metadata, engagement statistics (views, likes, comment counts), a seven-category frame taxonomy applied to both video captions and audience comments, sentiment scores, and derived coupling metrics. Raw caption and comment text are not redistributed directly, in keeping with YouTube's Terms of Service. Instead extracted caption and comment CVS file are given along with Video list and URL docs file. This dataset is intended to support research in computational framing analysis, sports media studies, and social media analytics.
