Description

This data aims to analyze the intellectual structure of Clean Water and Sanitation in the Sustainability Era studies by examining bibliographic characteristics. A dataset of 1,482 and 1,776 documents from the Web of Science and Scopus database respectively was used. This study explored various aspects, including annual publication counts, country coupling, source numbers, primary research areas, co-occurrence of keywords, bibliographic linkages between sources and documents, and co-citation patterns of references. Bibliographic network mapping techniques were applied to analyze the data. The analysis was performed using VOSviewer, a scientific mapping tool. The results indicate a strong thematic shift from conventional topics such as water quality and pollution towards newer integrated topics related to sustainability, which include climate change, governance, wastewater management, and resource efficiency.
