IPv4 Addressing and VLSM Subnetting
Description
Unlike fixed-length subnetting, VLSM allows the allocation of subnet masks of different sizes based on specific host requirements. Students will work with a constrained IPv4 address block and subdivide it to match departmental needs, minimizing wasted addresses. The practice emphasizes analytical skills, hierarchical design, and practical implementation using Cisco Packet Tracer or GNS3.

# IPv4 Addressing and Subnetting with VLSM — Dataset This dataset provides a reproducible addressing plan, router configuration, and validation evidence for a VLSM-based IPv4 subnetting lab. ## Contents - `docs/` – Lab description with Problem, Requirements, Expected Outcomes - `data/` – VLSM subnet table (CSV) - `scripts/cisco/` – Router configuration with subinterfaces - `results/` – Connectivity test results and troubleshooting log ## Usage 1. Review `data/vlsm_table.csv` for subnet allocations. 2. Apply router configuration from `scripts/cisco/Router_Config.cfg`. 3. Test connectivity and update `results/connectivity_tests.csv`. 4.
