Description

Solid phase data from flow-through column experiment on olivine addition following addition to permeable marine sediment. EBSD was performed at two accelerating voltages (5 kV and 15 kV) to determine the ratio of Mg:Si along the surfaces of olivine grains (unincubated but washed, beginning of the 10% olivine flow-through column, and end of the 10% olivine flow-through column). XRD was performed on the washed olivine mixed into the natural sand, the natural sand, the 10% olivine sand post-incubation, and the fine grained material separated from the bulk sediment taken from the ends of the 0% and 10% olivine columns.
