Description

This data article describes a multi-country dataset generated through field-based experimental auctions, sensory evaluation and post-auction surveys with 693 adult rice buyers in urban markets in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire and Uganda. The data record bids for three one-kilogram rice products: low-glycaemic-index parboiled ORYLUX 6, non-parboiled ORYLUX 6 and a conventional aromatic rice benchmark. In each country, 231 participants were observed over two auction rounds, producing 1,386 bid observations per country and 4,158 bid observations overall
