Do medical risk factors found in infants and toddlers predict listening difficulties in 6-12 year old children? Our data showed that prematurity, head injury and extended high frequency hearing loss were predictors that could be detected early in life and might thus be able to lead to earlier intervention to prevent later listening difficulties.
