ChatGPT SEM
Description
This dataset contains survey responses examined to understand individual investors' behavioral intentions toward adopting and using ChatGPT technology for their financial investment decisions. 1. Data Context & Methodology Target Population & Sample: The data consists of responses from individual (non-institutional) financial investors who actively manage investment accounts. Out of 488 collected questionnaires, screening questions filtered out 38 non-investors, leaving a final sample size of 450 active individual investors for analysis. This sample size fulfills the required statistical power and assumptions for Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Data Collection & Procedure: Data was gathered online via Google Forms between March and May 2024 using convenience sampling. Participants were recruited through online investment communities and social media platforms. To improve response accuracy, participants unfamiliar with ChatGPT watched a short informational video before starting the survey. Analysis Software: Statistical analyses and modeling were performed using SPSS 22 and AMOS 22 software. 2. Included Files This dataset includes two formats of the same processed data ready for analysis: ChatGPT Data.xlsx (Excel format for tabular processing and general reviews) ChatGPT Data.sav (IBM SPSS Statistics format containing variable/value labels for immediate model testing) 3. Survey Instrument & Data Structure (Variables) The survey consists of demographic characteristics (gender, age, AI tool usage) and 22 measurement items structured around 6 latent variables (dimensions) adapted from technology acceptance literature (Agarwal & Prasad, 1998; Venkatesh et al., 2003, 2012) using a 5-point Likert scale: Performance Expectancy (PE1 - PE4): Perceived usefulness, speed, efficiency, and success enhancement of ChatGPT in financial decisions. Effort Expectancy (EE1 - EE4): Perceived ease of use, clarity of interface, and ease of learning ChatGPT. Social Influence (SI1 - SI4): Impact of role models, family, friends, and investment experts on the participant's choice to use ChatGPT. Facilitating Conditions (FC1 - FC4): Perceived availability of resources, knowledge, tech compatibility, and technical support. Personal Innovativeness (PI1 - PI3): Participant's willingness to experiment with and adopt new technologies. Behavioral Intention (BI1 - BI3): Intentions regarding the frequent, continuous, and long-term use of ChatGPT for financial decisions.
