Characteristics of Helium Bulges and the Impact of Martian Year 34 Global Dust Storm using MAVEN/NGIMS Observations and MarsPCM and M-GITM Simulations
Description
The data files represent MarsPCM (Mars Planetary Climate Model) simulated output used in the research article titled “Characteristics of Helium Bulges and the Impact of Martian Year 34 Global Dust Storm using MAVEN/NGIMS Observations and MarsPCM and M-GITM Simulations”. It includes three .mat files, each corresponding to different figures and simulation cases described in the article. Below is a summary of each file: 1. MarsPCM_fig3-4-5_clim_helium_simulations.mat Description: This file contains MarsPCM simulations of Helium density under a "climatology" dust scenario. Purpose: The data in this file were used to generate Figure 3, Figure 4, and Figure 5 of the article. 2. MarsPCM_figure6_helium_simulations.mat Description: This file contains Helium density simulations from MarsPCM under both "climatology" and "MY34" dust scenarios, covering the pre-peak, peak, and decay phases of the Mars Year 34 (MY34) Global Dust Storm. Purpose: This data supports the analysis presented in Figure 6 of the article. 3. MarsPCM_figure8_helium_simulations.mat Description: This file contains simulated horizontal winds from MarsPCM, under both "climatology" and "MY34" dust scenarios, specifically for the peak phase of the MY34 Global Dust Storm. Purpose: This dataset was used to produce Figure 8 of the article.
