Description

Our current study, we report an unexpected, effect of piRNA hsa_piR_016187's regulatory function on intraspinal nerve sheath tumors. PiRNA hsa_piR_016187 expression decreased in nerve sheath tumor tissue, and it's possible that piRNA hsa_piR_016187 inhibits the growth of nerve sheath tumor cells. Results using the double luciferase reporter gene suggested that piRNA hsa_piR_016187 might bind to the 3'-UTR region of IGF2. The overexpression of piRNA hsa_piR_016187 increased piRNA expression and IGF2 expression, but decreased IGF2 expression, according to Western blot analysis. PiRNA hsa_piR_016187 inhibits the proliferation of nerve sheath tumorss by regulating the expression of IGF2. Our findings challenge the classic view of Originality and scientific. This theoretical basis provides new research directions for patients who cannot tolerate surgical treatment, with the promise of gene therapy for the disease.
