The dataset and accompanying codes provided here are crucial for replicating the findings outlined in the upcoming paper titled "Anatomy of Wage Rigidity in China: Lessons from the Global Financial Crisis for Post-pandemic Recovery," which is set to be published in the Journal of Economic Modelling. Data Set Information: Survey Name: Survey of Firms’ Operating Environment and Access to Finance during the Global Financial Crisis Conducted By: People’s Bank of China Duration Covered: Second half of 2007 to first half of 2009 Purpose: To assess the impact of the Global Financial Crisis (GFC) on Chinese firms and evaluate the effectiveness of governmental policies in mitigating challenges faced by these firms. Replication Details: An independent observer can confirm research conclusions by accessing the data and codes located in the provided DOI link to the Mendeley repository. For complete transparency, the computational codes will be made available alongside a portion of the data that can be disclosed publicly.
