Description

Wastewater surveillance is a powerful tool to monitor the progression of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Dominant and emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants were detected in sewage samples by Nanopore sequencing and bioinformatic analysis, which validated this strategy as a non-invasive alternative to clinical testing. The dataset consists of sequencing data of sewage samples collected in Hong Kong during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic from May 2022 to July 2023. The compressed fastq files should be unpacked and used for SARS-CoV-2 and variant analysis.
