Description

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was employed to follow surface changes during leaching of a silver-containing polymetallic (Mn-Fe-Pb) sulfide under a) conventional leaching, b) ultrasound-assisted leaching, and c) leaching of a sample after an alkaline pretreatment. Leaching experiments were conducted in triplicate and for each experiment a mineral sample was taken at determined times during the leaching process.
