The data sheet contains Carbon intensity, Ecological Footprint, renewable energy market development index, trade openness, urbanisation, green investment, green innovation and renewable energy installed capacity data. The research hypothesis was to examine the impact of the renewable energy market development index on Carbon intensity and Ecological Footprint in India, and to identify the transmission channel, using green innovation and renewable energy installed capacity data as mediators. Trade openness, urbanisation and green investment are used as control variables.

Steps to reproduce
Principal Component Analysis was used to construct the Renewable Energy Index using traded value, turnover ratio and market capitalisation of renewable energy stocks. The dynamic ARDL model is used to examine the effect, and the mediation model is used to examine the transmission channel.
