Description

The dataset contains raw counts and concentrations (particles per g of dry sediment) of microcharcoal from Lake Ohrid (Eastern Mediterranean region) spanning Marine Isotope Stages 12 and 11. The data were generated on samples from the DEEP Site drillcores (41°02’57” N, 20°42’54” E) that were retrieved during an International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP) campaign in 2013. The microcharcoal particles are classified into three size categories, i.e., 10–50 μm, 50–150 μm, and >150 μm.
