This dataset contains the electronic supplementary material associated with the manuscript “Experimental calibration of V-Sc oxybarometers based on clinopyroxene- and orthopyroxene-melt equilibria”. It includes experimental data, compiled literature datasets, and analytical results used to calibrate and evaluate V-Sc oxybarometers for pyroxene-silicate melt systems, including assessment of the proposed V/V* proxy of Cottrell et al. (2025). The dataset comprises Excel spreadsheets containing starting material compositions, experimental run conditions, oxygen fugacity constraints, and LA-ICP-MS precision and accuracy data for silicate glasses, clinopyroxene, and orthopyroxene crystals. It further includes correlation matrices, Fe-loss mass-balance calculations, clinopyroxene core compositions, and compiled orthopyroxene and clinopyroxene datasets from published experimental studies. Statistical outputs include fitting parameters and diagnostics for linear and non-linear regressions, residual analyses, and quantitative evaluations of oxybarometer performance. Final calculation sheets are provided to enable direct application of the clinopyroxene-melt and orthopyroxene-melt V-Sc oxybarometers using measured V and Sc concentrations in pyroxene and glass or silicate melt inclusions. Supplementary figure files document analytical quality control and textural context, including EPMA precision and accuracy assessments for clinopyroxene using cluster analysis, evaluation of sector-zoning effects on V-Sc exchange coefficient between clinopyroxene and silicate melt and its relationship with Al₂O₃ content, LA-ICP-MS V and Sc data (including spot-size effects), backscattered electron (BSE) images of orthopyroxene textures, and residual analyses of sigmoidal fits relating V-Sc partitioning to oxygen fugacity.

Experimental conditions, analytical methods, and data processing steps required to reproduce the results are fully described in the associated manuscript. The spreadsheets provided in this dataset contain all primary and processed data used for calibration and statistical evaluation of the V-Sc oxybarometers.
