Research data for “Maturity-Associated Carbon Reallocation and Secondary Metabolic Remodeling in Nicotiana tabacum Leaves”
Description
This dataset supports the manuscript entitled “Maturity-Associated Carbon Reallocation and Secondary Metabolic Remodeling in Nicotiana tabacum Leaves”. The study investigated maturity-associated physiological, biochemical, enzymatic, and metabolomic changes in fresh and flue-cured leaves of Nicotiana tabacum cultivar Yunyan 87. Middle leaves were harvested at five maturity stages, and T1 and T5 were selected as contrasting lower- and higher-maturity stages for untargeted metabolomic comparisons. The dataset includes overall metabolite annotation and classification results, lists of identified and differential metabolites, biological classification and pathway enrichment results, and simplified KEGG-style pathway maps of representative differential metabolites in fresh and flue-cured leaves. These files provide supporting data for the analyses of carbon allocation, TCA-cycle rebalancing, phenylpropanoid metabolism, redox and polyamine metabolism, lipid remodeling, phenylalanine metabolism, and postharvest biochemical conversion. The data are provided as original research data associated with the manuscript and are intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and further investigation of leaf maturation and metabolic remodeling in leaf-harvested plants.
