Exploring Causal Factors of Adolescents’ Smartphone Consumption Behavior: A Phenomenological Study of Nomophobia

This dataset supports the qualitative phenomenological research titled “Exploring Causal Factors of Adolescents’ Smartphone Consumption Behavior: A Phenomenological Study of Nomophobia.” The study explores adolescents’ lived experiences related to smartphone overuse and digital dependency, emphasizing the psychological and social factors contributing to nomophobia. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with adolescents aged 15–18 in urban Indonesia. All participants were selected through purposive sampling and met the inclusion criteria of frequent smartphone use and indications of nomophobic behaviors. Transcripts have been anonymized to protect participant confidentiality. Contents of this dataset include: a.
