Description

This dataset supports the manuscript entitled “Different roles of scour-exposed and embedded roots in soil detachment on Robinia pseudoacacia slopes”. The dataset contains raw and processed data, analysis scripts, and model output files used to investigate soil detachment, hydrodynamic characteristics, and root traits under five slope gradients (5°, 10°, 15°, 20°, and 25°) and five flow discharges (0.8, 1.2, 1.6, 2.0, and 2.4 L min⁻¹). The study was conducted using field scouring experiments on restored Robinia pseudoacacia slopes. The uploaded files include: (1) soil detachment rate data; (2) hydrodynamic characteristics data; (3) scour-exposed root trait data; (4) embedded root trait data; (5) the integrated dataset used for random forest, Pearson correlation, and PLS-SEM analyses; (6) R scripts for GLS, random forest, and Pearson correlation analyses; and (7) PLS-SEM output figures. Variable names, file contents, and analytical purposes are described in the accompanying README file. These files are provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and reuse of the analyses presented in the manuscript.
