Description

This dataset contains raw and processed data from a study evaluating seed viability, germination, seedling survival, treatment responses, and UAV-assisted seedball application for revegetation of post-limestone-mining land. The study was conducted at the Silviculture Laboratory, Faculty of Forestry and Environment, IPB University, and a post-limestone-mining site in Narogong, Bogor Regency, West Java, Indonesia, from June to August 2026. The study evaluated the application of carbon composite seedballs (CCSB), essential oils, and planting patterns to support vegetation establishment under post-mining conditions. The dataset includes three plant species: Intsia bijuga (merbau), Melaleuca cajuputi (cajuput), and Oryza sativa (upland paddy). Seed viability data include germination responses of merbau from Jambi and West Java, upland paddy under different soaking treatments, and cajuput using top-of-paper and sand media. Germination observations were conducted for 21 days for merbau and cajuput and 14 days for upland paddy. Field data include germination and seedling survival under two planting patterns (monoculture and agroforestry), two carbon composite treatments (without and with carbon composite), and three essential oil treatments (cajuput, citronella, and without essential oil). The experiment used a factorial completely randomized design with three replications and a 1 × 1 m seedball spacing. The dataset also contains soil physical and chemical properties before and after treatment as well as UAV-assisted seedball application data include flight time, effective planting time, seed refill time, and total operational time. Processed data include germination and survival percentages and statistical analyses using ANOVA and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). This dataset can support further research on post-mining land reclamation, revegetation, seedball technology, agroforestry, essential oil applications, and UAV-assisted ecological restoration.
