Description

We have provided the data and code used in the statistical analyses for the Citizen Science: Theory and Practice journal article titled, "Engagement in the Data Collection Phase of the Scientific Process is Key for Enhancing Learning Gains." There are two data files in this folder: (1) "pre_post_matched_anonymous.csv" contains the pre- and post-survey responses for respondents who were able to be matched up after being cleaned, but before dependent variables are created; (2) "pre_post_data_for_analysis_anonymous.csv" contains the same pre- and post-survey responses and dependent variables that are used in the model analyses. The first data file is used in the R script, "pre_post_create_variables.R" and the second data file is used in all of the R scripts with "analysis" in the title, with each script corresponding to the model analyses run for each dependent variable.
