Derived numerical results for operand-gated mean-error compensation in an 8-bit truncated multiplier
Description
This dataset accompanies “Operand-gated mean-error compensation for a truncated multiplier: a workload-conditional evaluation,” prepared for Microelectronics Journal. It contains derived numerical summary tables for application accuracy, paired comparisons, workload metrics, activity-based power summaries, exploratory baseline points, and conditional diagnostics. The ResNet-20 CSVs are direct field exports from frozen validation and formal-test metric records. Interpret the values with the manuscript and supplementary material, including their limitations. The dataset omits raw MNIST/CIFAR-10 images, per-image predictions, model weights, third-party RTL and the Nangate45 library. Self-authored RTL and analysis scripts may be provided privately by the corresponding author on reasonable request. This is not a complete independent reproduction package.

Steps to reproduce
Extract public_summary_data_v2.zip, then open README.md and the CSV tables. Each CSV is a derived summary table linked to the experiments described in the companion manuscript and supplement. The ten non-ResNet CSVs are unchanged exports from the frozen integration results; the two ResNet CSVs are direct field exports from frozen validation and formal-test metric records. Compare rows by model, seed, multiplier variant, layer and split as labelled in the tables. These files support inspection of reported summaries but do not by themselves reproduce model training, synthesis or simulation.
