Description

Each directory in this dataset contains remotely sensed chemical composition data of biomass burning plumes from the Creek Fire, which occurred in northern California in late 2020 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creek_Fire, accessed 28 October 2025). The field data were acquired with The Aerospace Corporation's Mako airborne longwave-infrared spectral imager (Buckland et al., 2017, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rse.2017.09.012) on 28 October 2020. The data files in each directory contain the following in ENVI-compatible format: 1. L2S: radiometrically calibrated at-sensor radiance (microflick) hypercube. 2. BTEMP: retrieved brightness temperature (deg C) map. 3. SAGE_tmap: t-statistic maps of detected gases. 4. SAGE_acd: retrieved column density (ppm-m) maps of detected gases.
