Landslide inventory for Pannonian Croatia
Description
This dataset consists of landslides digitized from archived geological maps created at three different scales, as well as landslides reported through the publicly available "Report a Landslide" portal in Croatia, administered by the Croatian Geological Survey. The data points are stored in shapefile format in the WGS84 coordinate system. The shapefile Landslides_maps_WGS contains 887 landslides extracted from the Engineering Geological Map of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY) at a scale of 1:500,000, sheets of the Basic Geological Map at a scale of 1:100,000, and sheets of the Draft Field Geological Map at a scale of 1:25,000. Landslides_portal_WGS shapefile, includes 238 landslides reported through the publicly available portal. The accompanying attribute tables contain the data ID, point coordinates, map source, sheet name/city, municipality (depending on the map scale), scale, year of production, authors, and county name. All data can be opened using GIS software. This dataset can be used for various analyses in landslide investigation, including the production of landslide susceptibility maps, density maps, predictive zonation maps, and machine learning-based analyses.
