Description

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of green attitudes and climate change concern on low carbon behavior with organizational attachment as a moderation. This study adopts a quantitative research design and utilizes primary data collected through an online questionnaire administered via Google Forms. The sample comprises employees from Indonesia Stock Exchange-listed companies and private-sector organizations in Indonesia, representing various organizational levels, from staff members to directors. A total of 183 valid responses were analyzed using SPSS & Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine the proposed relationships. The results showed that green attitude and climate change concern has a positive influence on low carbon behavior. In addition, the study also finds that organizational attachment strengthens the relationship between climate change concern and low carbon behavior, but weakened the relationship between green attitude and low carbon behavior. The findings imply that organizations should align environmental policies, work culture, and operational practices with employees’ sustainability values to effectively promote low carbon behavior. Practical initiatives such as energy-efficiency programs, paper reduction policies, and the adoption of digital technologies can facilitate the development of sustainable workplace habits. This study contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), by highlighting organizational mechanisms that encourage environmentally responsible behavior and support carbon reduction efforts.
