Description

This dataset supports research on the “Spatial-temporal evolution and driving force of carbon sequestration function in typical counties of the Three Gorges Reservoir area: Wanzhou case” research paper. It includes multiple thematic data folders: “Driver factor data” contains data on factors (e.g., climate, topography, human activities) driving carbon sequestration differentiation.“Local Moran’s I and hot spot analysis method” provides methodological materials for spatial pattern analysis of carbon sequestration.“Wanzhou Carbon storage data” and “Wanzhou Sloping farmland Carbon storage data” quantify carbon storage at the county scale and for sloping farmland specifically.“Wanzhou Land use type data” and “Wanzhou Sloping farmland data” characterize land use patterns and sloping farmland distribution. These data, integrated with multi-source remote sensing, the InVEST model, and Geographical Detector analysis, enable the investigation of carbon sequestration dynamics, spatial heterogeneity, and driving forces, particularly focusing on the coupling effects of land use, topography, and climate in subtropical mountainous ecosystems. They facilitate understanding of county-scale carbon cycle processes and support targeted ecological management strategies in ecologically fragile regions.
