Survey Dataset on Factors Motivating Women to Switch to Biodegradable Sanitary Napkins in Bangladesh

Description

This dataset contains survey responses from 400 women in Bangladesh concerning perceptions, practices, and factors that may motivate them to switch from conventional sanitary napkins to biodegradable sanitary napkins. The dataset includes demographic characteristics such as age, years of schooling, marital status, and place of residence. It also contains Likert-scale measures assessing trust in the quality of biodegradable sanitary pads, environmental responsibility associated with their use, previous use of biodegradable pads, responsible disposal practices, access to eco-friendly menstrual products, and perceived environmental benefits of biodegradable pads. In addition, the dataset includes an open-ended question asking respondents what would most convince them to switch to biodegradable sanitary napkins. Responses include factors such as affordability, comfort, absorbency, safety, availability, environmental benefits, product quality, health considerations, social recommendations, and promotional or awareness initiatives. The dataset can support research on sustainable menstrual product adoption, consumer behavior, environmental economics, women's health-related consumption decisions, sustainable consumption, and behavioral intentions toward environmentally friendly products.
