Description
Technological skills are currently part of educational programs in university education, since they affect the consolidation and construction of new knowledge. Additionally, they develop skills that allow them to locate, evaluate, use and communicate information in all professional specialties, achieving an adaptation to the demands of society. Added to this, it reduces the digital divide and the inclusion of indigenous ethnic groups. In Colombia, the Wayuu ethnic group resides in the Department of Guajira, which is part of the population of students from public universities. The data in this article shows the competences Wayuu students have with the use of technological tools in their academic activities. The data was collected through a Likert questionnaire from students at public universities and processed through statistical software. The data show that digital literacy is an issue that develops skills to use effectively, technological tools in academic and professional settings.
