Menstruation is a fundamental biological process that signifies reproductive health in women of childbearing age. It is characterized by the cyclic shedding of the endometrial lining of the uterus, resulting in the physiological loss of blood, mucus, and endometrial tissue through the vagina each month¹. The menstrual cycle typically lasts between 21 to 35 days, with menstruation itself enduring 2 to 7 days². However, considerable variation exists among women, and deviations from this norm are increasingly recognized as significant health indicators rather than mere physiological anomalies.
