Description

This dataset contains the analytical data and reproducible R Markdown workflow used to evaluate internal consistency and evidence based on the internal structure of the CAPL-2 Colombia version in a multicenter sample of Colombian schoolchildren aged 8–12 years. The workflow includes domain-specific analyses, confirmatory factor analyses, internal consistency estimates, correlations among domains, a multidimensional hybrid model, a hierarchical second-order model, sensitivity analyses, and evaluation of the robustness of the official CAPL-2 total score. The materials are provided to support transparency, methodological verification, and reproducibility of the doctoral research.

Steps to reproduce

Download the analytical dataset and the R Markdown file and place both files in the same working directory. Open CAPL2_Colombia_estructura_interna_reproducible.Rmd in RStudio and verify that the archivo_excel parameter in the YAML header matches the name of the analytical dataset included in this repository. Install the required R packages if necessary: readxl, dplyr, tidyr, tibble, psych, lavaan, Hmisc, and knitr. Run the document using Knit → Knit to HTML. The workflow first verifies the required variables and data availability. It then reproduces the domain-specific analyses for Physical Competence, Motivation and Confidence, Daily Behaviour, and Knowledge and Understanding; estimates internal consistency where appropriate; evaluates confirmatory factor models; examines Spearman correlations among the four CAPL-2 domains; fits the definitive multidimensional hybrid model and a hierarchical second-order model; performs sensitivity analyses; and evaluates the robustness of the official CAPL-2 total score against alternative scoring approaches. The robustness analysis includes 5,000 bootstrap resamples. The final section reports sessionInfo() to document the R environment and package versions used in the reproducible analysis.
