Description

The main objective of these tests is to check the quality of the QAOA Module of QRisp (https://qrisp.eu/). Thus, this experiment consists of a comparison of the results obtained by the QAOA Module of QRisp with two other alternatives: the QAOA library of Qiskit (https://qiskit.org/documentation/stubs/qiskit.algorithms.QAOA.html), and an ad-hoc implementation of a QAOA based in https://learn.qiskit.org/course/ch-applications/solving-combinatorial-optimization-problems-using-qaoa. The experimentation is focused on the MaxCut problem, and it involves the solving of 15 different instances with sizes ranging from 8 to 25 nodes. Two entities are involved in this research: Fraunhofer FOKUS and TECNALIA Research & Development. This work has received funding from the European Union’s HORIZON-CL4-2022-DATA-01 programme under grant agreement No: 101092702 (OASEES project, https://oasees-project.eu/)
