Description

The Supplementary Data comprises five datasheets. Supplementary Datasheet 1 shows the distribution of 3-hydroxy fatty acids from three Gram-negative bacterial strains grown under different culture conditions. Supplementary Datasheet 2 is a compiled datasheet showing the 3-hydroxy fatty acids based pH proxies from reported global soil samples and cultured strains in this study. Supplementary Datasheet 3 presents the network's topological properties for each area. Supplementary Datasheet 4 presents the reconstructed profile of 3-hydroxy fatty acids for the soil samples reported by Zeng et al. (2024), based on the 3-hydroxy fatty acid production potential of different Gram-negative groups and their relative abundance in soil. Supplementary Datasheet 5 shows the compiled database of 3-hydroxy fatty acids from cultured soil Gram-negative bacterial strains.
