Description

This dataset contains processed outputs from the SCHISM (Semi‑implicit Cross‑scale Hydroscience Integrated System Model) for the study “Mechanisms Regulating the Expansion Pathways of Detached Low-salinity Water Patches from the Changjiang River Diluted Water”. All data files are provided as MATLAB (.mat) formatted arrays, ready for analysis and reproduction of the figures presented in the paper.Schism _ grid.mat is a horizontal grid, schism _ modeled _ salt _ E.mat and schism _ modeled _ salt _ NE.mat are the salinity data of CaseE and CaseNE on the day of simulated detachment, schism _ modeled _ currenty _ E.mat and schism _ modeled _ currenty _ NE.mat are the flow field data of CaseE and CaseNE on the day of simulated detachment, schism _ momentum _ E.mat and schism _ momentum _ NE.mat are the momentum data of CaseE and CaseNE, respectively.The variables within each file represent the final, processed model outputs used for plotting.

Steps to reproduce

Step-by-Step Process for Reuse​​ ​​Download the dataset:​​ Download all .mat data files corresponding to the figures (e.g., schism_modeled_currenty_E.mat). ​​Set up the MATLAB path:​​ Place all files in the same directory or add the directory containing the files to the MATLAB search path to ensure proper data access. ​​Load and view data:​​ This dataset does not include automated plotting scripts. Users can directly use the MATLAB loadcommand to load any .mat file based on their research needs. Each file contains the complete dataset required to generate the corresponding figure, allowing flexible visualization and analysis.
