Description

Bangladesh's National Solar Energy Roadmap targets 40 GW of solar capacity by 2041, yet no existing study has quantified open-land solar potential at fine spatial resolution across the country's urban centers. This dataset contains all raw exports, processed CSV outputs, and analysis scripts (Google Earth Engine JavaScript and Python) used to assess open-land solar photovoltaic suitability across a uniform 1 km x 1 km grid (1,672 cells) spanning all twelve City Corporations of Bangladesh, using a hybrid multi-temporal satellite classification pipeline. The dataset includes hybrid open-land classification outputs, PVOUT extractions, slope-constraint data, road/power-line proximity data, and all Python/GEE scripts required to reproduce the analysis. See README.md for full documentation.

Steps to reproduce

See README.md included in the uploaded zip file for full folder structure, column definitions, and step-by-step reproduction instructions. GEE scripts (folder 07) require a Google Earth Engine account; Python scripts (folder 06) require pandas, numpy, and geopandas.
