Description

The data includes the equilibrium calculations and the phase diagrams done during the investigation of the impact of the Si content in FeSi system. Different percentages of Si in FeSi alloy leads to the formation of different phases. The equilibrium calculations were done using Factsage 8.3. The alloys of certain composition were cooled from an initial temperature of 1500 C to a temperature of 50 C. Phase diagrams were calculated using the phase diagram module of Factsage.

Steps to reproduce

The simulations were reproduced using Factsage 8.3 with the following databases - FactPS, FTOxid, FTMisc, FSteel,FSupsi. For the laws governing the interaction between the different databases, the default suggestions were followed. In all simulations and phase diagram calculations, FeLq, Culq and SnLq from FTmisc were not used, as they are not used when other solid solutions are being considered. Remaining all phases from the databases were considered and no custom selection of phases within a database was done. The equilibrium calculations were done from a starting temperature of 1500 C to a final temperature of 50 C, with a step of 50C.
