The Mediating Effect of Aggression in the Relationship Between Attitude Toward Sports and Digital Game Addiction
Description
This dataset accompanies a study investigating the mediating role of aggression in the relationship between adolescents’ attitude toward sports and digital game addiction. Data were collected from 652 middle school students in early adolescence. The dataset includes responses to validated scales on sport-oriented attitudes, digital game addiction, aggression, and perceived academic achievement, along with demographic variables.

Steps to reproduce
The data were collected as part of a cross-sectional, survey-based study conducted with 652 middle school students (7th and 8th grade) in Türkiye. Standardized self-report instruments were used to gather data on digital game addiction, sport-oriented attitudes, aggression, and perceived academic achievement. All data were collected through face-to-face administration during regular classroom hours under the supervision of trained researchers. The following validated scales were used: the Digital Game Addiction Scale for Children, the Sport-Oriented Attitude Scale, and the Buss–Perry Aggression Questionnaire. Demographic information, including gender, number of siblings, parental education level, and perceived economic status, was also collected.
